Introudction of Compensation Device
Compensation Device is a string adjusting device used in the well completion, the compensation device is provided with sliding seal by the multiple sealing packings. Additionally, compensation device is equipped with many pins to connect upper and lower connectors assembly and connecting pulling force can be adjusted by the numbers of pins according to site’s requirement. The internal stress of the tubing will be changed due to temperature and pressure changes, then shear pins of central tube are cut and central tube released in order to compensate and adjust tubes string when stress of tubing reaches a certain value.
Features of Compensation Device
- The compensation device is desinged with drift diameters matched with tubes.
- The distance ranges of compensation is from 10ft to 20 ft.
- Sealing packings’ materials use HNBR, PTFE or Viton.
- Compensation Device is expected to be used in drill stem test operation and production wells
- Materials of comensation device main body include AISI 4140 or 4340
- Working pressure of compensation device is 5000-10000psi
